Cruglwyd Stud

Cruglwyd Welsh Cobs was established in 1982 with the purchase of the filly foal Llanarth Mefys, by Llanarth Flying Comet out of Llanarth Morfydd. Llanarth Mefys went on to become the mother of our foundation mare Cruglwyd Morwena, sired by Derwen Replica. Sadly Llanarth Mefys died at the young age of 10 years, but her spirit lives on in her daughter Morwena, now aged 17 years, and in her many grand children.

After the death of Llanarth Mefys, we were fortunate enough to purchase Tardebigge Ella in 1991 from Mr & Mrs Abery. Tardebigge Ella has gone on to produce a line of consistent show winners, the most successful being Cruglwyd Elin, who went on to win the RWAS as a 3 year old filly in 2000.

Cruglwyd Welsh Cobs looks forward to an equally successful future as breeders and showers of Section D Welsh Cobs.
